Anthony Gomez Mancini signs new contract with Burnley FC
Anthony Gomez Mancini has signed a long term contract with Premier league side Burnley FC.
The France under-19 international, who was on loan from French Ligue 1 side SCO Angers, has agreed personal terms after the Clarets activated a clause in the loan agreement that brought the young midfielder to Turf Moor in September, to secure Gomez Mancini on a deal until June, 2022.
The 19-year-old has impressed in the Clarets’ Under-23s so far this season and made it as far as the bench on 2 occasions at first-team level.
On the new contract Anthony said, “ I’m very excited to have secured my long term future at the club and i’m looking forward to continue to develop here at Turf Moor”.
It marks an exciting time for the Clarets – who moved into the ownership of ALK Capital under chairman Alan Pace at the turn of the year – and have expressed a desire to continue to develop the junior players in a season where 2 of the U23 squad, Josh Benson and Joe Mumbongo, have made their 1st team debut.
