Freddie Burns signs for Toyota Shokki

Long standing client Freddie Burns, after a decade in the Premiership, including winning trophies with Gloucester and Leicester Tigers, as well as representing England rugby on 5 occasions, is embarking on the next chapter of his career in Japan and has signed for Toyota Shokki.

Announcing the move, Burns said “I feel immense pride to have played with, for and against the best players, clubs and supporters around. It’s been one hell of a journey. English rugby, for now, it’s been a pleasure. Next stop – Toyota Shokki”

Burns’ time in the Premiership has spanned a decade and started at Gloucester, where he made over 130 appearances before joining Leicester Tigers in 2014. At Leicester Tigers he scored over 500 points in his three seasons in the East Midlands.

Making a homecoming return to Bath, Burns made 47 appearances. He is the ninth-highest points scorer in Premiership Rugby history, having amassed 1,344 points during his time with Gloucester, Leicester Tigers and Bath.
