ISC has signed the Welsh qualified open-side flanker Dan Thomas who has had a stunning debut season with Bristol Rugby, being voted Bristol Rugby 2017/18 Supporters Player of the Year and named in the Championship Team of the Year 2018 as their open-side flanker. The ex-Wales U20 captain joined Bristol from local rivals Gloucester Rugby at the start of the 2017/18 season and was instrumental in Bristol's promotion winning season before injury ended his season a couple of months early.

“Dan has been a good acquisition for the club and we know what a popular figure he is within the group and amongst supporters. Dan’s work-rate, skills and attitude during his first season has been exemplary and that’s been evident in his performances.

The exciting thing for us is that Dan is still only 24 and has all the ingredients to be a world class player. He is eager to learn and understands that, if we earn promotion, he will need to keep developing his game to continue to make an impact in the Premiership.”

Bristol Bears head coach Pat Lam

Best of luck with your injury recovery Dan and we look forward to watching you next year in the Premiership!
